» The Characters of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Sora:
The hero of the Keyblade and main protagonist of the game, age 14. Sora was chosen by the Keyblade after his best friend Riku gave into the darkness. After their first journey ended, Sora and his two friends found a huge Castle known as Castle Oblivion. Once inside, they started losing their memories of past events.
Riku: Sora's best friend and rival, age 15. He was meant to be the wielder of the Keyblade, but when he chose darkness, the Keyblade chose Sora instead. At the end of the first game, he and King Mickey were left in the realm of darkness.
Kairi: She is best friends with Sora and Riku, age 14. She is one of the 7 Princesses of Heart. She originally lived in Hollow Bastion, but she moved to Destiny Islands as a kid. She currently awaits for the return of Sora and Riku.
Donald and Goofy: They were sent on a mission by their King, Mickey, to search for someone with a key. They met Sora at Traverse Town and joined forces to stop the Heartless and search for King Mickey, Kairi, and Riku. After the end of their first adventure, they found a Castle known as Castle Oblivion. Once inside, they started losing their memories of past events.
King Mickey: The King of Disney Castle who disappeared to find out why the worlds have been mysteriously disappearing. King Mickey is also a keyblade wielder.
The Organization: An inscrutable black-coated organization. Their intentions are unknown, but some of the members plan on using Sora in order to take over the Organization, others plan to use Riku to take over the Organization.
Ansem: The villain in Riku's part of the game. Throughout the entire game, he tries to take over Riku's heart. But, Riku learned to control the darkness within his heart and defeated Ansem once and for all.
